Hello Quilting Friends,

My workshops are now being held at my new home studio instead of the Garden Room at the OSU extension office.

Conveniently located at 5107 Hayes Rd. in Ravenna Ohio. The cost for a 6 hour workshop is $25.00 payable directly to me. The pattern cost is $5.00 You will need to call me at 330.296.3725 to reserve your spot and receive your pre-workshop instructions. Bring a friend, and enjoy a wonderful day out! Bring a bag lunch, and beverage or we can order out. Locally we have access to Wendy’s, McDonalds, Burger King, Subway and Pizza Hut. Classroom is a well lit large space, with a clean restroom and a private pull up and park entrance for easy access. The entrance to the classroom is around the back of the house right off the driveway. Just pull up and park and roll your sewing machine cart down the sidewalk to the backdoor entrance. You know backdoor friends are the best kind!

Moonlight Garden
Fast Rotary Cut Shapes – Large Scale Florals
Time: 9:00 – 4:00pm

Cost: Class $25.00 Pattern: $5.00
This quilt is an updated version of a vintage pattern, "The Hunter's Star," and looks great with a large floral print, two accent fabrics and a contrasting background to create a beautiful bed-size quilt. It takes four blocks to create a star. The blocks are half-light and half-dark, similar to a log cabin block. You may play with the blocks to create your own unique design, or follow the basic layout. The block has three rotary-cut shapes: half square triangle, trapezoid and diamond.

This quilt gives you the look of curved piecing without the hassle of set-in seams. You can make your curves with just one large scale floral, one accent fabric and one background print, or choose several prints and strip-piece the bars to achieve a more traditional look. You will be amazed at how quickly this quilt will go together. You can choose to make a wall, lap or queen size quilt. I will send you yardage and pre-cutting directions so you can come to class ready to sew.
